中美公共图书馆室内设计的比较研究——以中美八所图书馆为例

A Comparative Study on Interior Design of Chinese and American Public Libraries:Taking Eight Libraries of China and America as Examples

室内空间环境是图书馆发挥文化服务功能的重要载体。研究中采用网络调研、实地观察、问询访谈的方式对中美多所图书馆进行调研,并在此基础上选取八所图书馆从空间组织、环境设施、材质肌理、灯光设计四个维度进行比较分析。通过比较发现,二者的不同取决于经营理念带来的差异,美国是基于社会公平、社区服务和可持续发展理念的设计策略;中国公共图书馆室内设计中仍然保有对纪念性和严肃性的强调。

The interior environment acts as an essential carrier for a library to play its cultural service function.Based on the online survey,on-site observation and interview,researchers selected eight libraries for comparative analysis from four dimensions:spatial organization,environmental facilities,material texture and lighting design.The study found that the difference between the two depends on the difference brought by the operation philosophy.The United States utilizes a design strategy based on valuing social equity,community service,and sustainable development,whereas the interior design of Chinese public libraries still emphasizes the memorial and sublime atmosphere.
