社会关系网络、受教育程度与中国居民金融素养——基于CHFS的研究

Social Network,Educational Level and Financial Literacy:A Research Based on CHFS

随着我国金融市场改革发展不断深化,金融产品与服务日趋丰富,其在为金融消费者与投资者带来便利的同时,也对中国居民的金融素养提出了更高的要求。不同于以往个体化的研究视角,本文采用社会网络的研究视角讨论了金融知识与金融技能传播的社会路径。研究发现,中国居民社会关系网络的金融素养水平与他们自身的金融素养水平显著相关,社会关系网络金融素养水平更高的居民,自身金融素养也更高。此外,居民社会关系网络金融素养水平对弱势群体提升自身金融素养更为重要。以初中学历群体为例,在控制其他因素的情况下,他们和本科学历群体金融素养得分差在纳入社会关系网络后缩小了54%。因此,提升弱势群体社会关系网络的金融素养水平能够有效缩小他们和社会优势阶层金融素养水平的差距,有效抑制金融领域不平等的再生产。

With the development of China’s financial market,financial products and services are becoming more and more abundant,which not only brings convenience to financial consumers and investors,but also puts forward higher requirements for the financial literacy.This paper discusses the social path of financial knowledge and financial skills dissemination from the perspective of social networks.The study found that the financial literacy level of Chinese residents’social relationship networks was significantly related to their own financial literacy level,and whose social networks have higher financial literacy also had higher financial literacy.More importantly,the level of financial literacy of residents’social network is more important for those disadvantaged groups to improve their financial literacy.Taking the junior high school educated group as an example,the difference in financial literacy scores between them and the undergraduate degree group narrowed by 54%after being included in the social network under the condition of controlling for other factors.Therefore,by improving the financial literacy level of the social network of vulnerable groups,the gap of financial literacy between them and the social advantages can be effectively narrowed,and the reproduction of inequality in the financial sector can be effectively suppressed.
