I had great pleasure reading this collection of Tao Xingzhi’s papers on education translated by Linying Ji,Xin Zhang,Nan Xin,and Lijuan Chen,a team of Chinese scholars under the guidance of a renowned Professor of Education,Gerard A.Postiglione at the University of Hong Kong.This volume is a good introduction to Tao’s idea on education for English readers,especially for those who are interested in modern Chinese education and the historical roots of educational reforms in contemporary China.
