African Union is a key driver for Africa’s development This year marks the 20 th anniversary of the founding of the African Union(AU). The union is striving to realize the Pan-African vision of “an integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens, representing a dynamic force in the international arena,” as stated in its Agenda 2063 blueprint.
