农民工就业质量对子女随迁的影响研究:基于中国流动人口动态监测调查数据的实证分析

Employment Quality of Migrant Workers and Their Children’s Migration:An Empirical Study Based on the Dynamic Monitoring Survey Data of China’s Floating Population

如何促进农民工子女随迁是中国新型城镇化战略实施中亟待解决的重要问题之一。基于中国流动人口动态监测调查数据(CMDS),实证考察了农民工就业质量对子女随迁的影响。结果表明:农民工就业质量对子女随迁具有显著的正向影响,该结论在替换被解释变量、更换数据年份、构造工具变量、进行匹配估计等条件下依旧稳健;从异质性结果看,就业质量对女性农民工、老一代农民工及较低教育程度农民工子女随迁的影响更大;作用机制检验显示,农民工就业质量通过提升照料能力及改善住房条件两条机制影响子女随迁。研究结论为中国在户籍制度改革背景下有效促进农民工子女随迁,实现农民工家庭化迁移的政策制定提供了新思路。

How to promote the migration of migrant workers’ children is one of the important problems to be solved in the implementation of China’s new urbanization strategy. Based on the China Migrants Dynamic Survey(CMDS) data in 2018, this paper empirically investigates the impact of migrant workers’ Employment Quality on their children’ migration. The research confirms that: Firstly, the employment quality of migrant workers has a significantly positive impact on the migration of their children. Secondly, the quality of employment has a greater impact on female migrant workers, the older generation and migrant workers with lower education level. Thirdly,according to the intermediary effect test, employment quality promotes the migration of migrant workers’ children by strengthening their caring ability and improving the housing quality. The conclusions reached in this paper provides a new idea for China to further facilitate the migration of migrant workers’ children and formulate high-quality urbanization policies.
