Minimum Wage Standards and Industrial Intelligence: An Analysis Based on Substitution Effect and Complementary Effect

文章采用2006-2019年我国30个省份最低工资标准与IFR公布的机器人数据,探究了最低工资标准对工业智能化的影响及其作用机制。实证检验发现:最低工资标准对我国工业智能化有着显著的促进作用;最低工资标准对工业智能化的影响在东部地区与低技术行业更为强烈;最低工资标准会通过替代效应与互补效应来促进工业智能化程度的提升。根据研究结论提出以下政策建议:对最低工资标准的制定需因地制宜;要加大人才引进力度,加强职业培训;要加强劳动力市场建设,完善劳动力社会保障制度。

Based on the minimum wage standards of 30 provinces in China from 2006 to 2019 and the robot data published by IFR, this paper explores the impact of minimum wage standards on industrial intelligence and its mechanism. The empirical results show that minimum wage standards have a significant role in promoting industrial intelligence in China, that its impact on industrial intelligence is more intense in eastern China and low-technology industries, and that it will promote the improvement of industrial intelligence through substitution effect and complementary effect. Accordingly, the following proposals have been put forward: The formulation of minimum wage standards should be based on local conditions, step up efforts to introduce talents as well as strengthen vocational training, and strengthen to construct the labor market and improve the social security system for the labor force.
