摘要
地球生物学是地球科学与生命科学交叉融合而形成的新学科,主要探索生物圈与地球其他圈层之间的相互作用与协同演化。地球生物学研究涉及的时间跨度较大,从地球形成早期一直到现在,是在古生物学的基础上重点发展地质微生物、生物对地质环境的作用与反馈等领域。地球生物学的系统研究工作离不开地质调查,地质调查也需要从地球生物学的新视角进行开拓创新。地球生物学不仅是地球系统科学的一大关键支撑,而且极大地提升了地质学为经济社会发展的服务能力,具有很重要的科学功能和社会功能,因而其繁荣发展对新时期地质调查工作的创新意义重大。
Geobiology is a new discipline that incorporates earth sciences and biology to investigate how the physical Earth affects and interacts with the biosphere.Geobiology research focuses on the interactions of organisms and microorganisms with the environments of early Earth to the present day,on the basis of paleontology.The systematic approach to geobiology is dependent on the geological survey,which in turn needs pioneering innovation from the new perspectives of geobiology.Geobiology is not only a key fundamental discipline for earth system science,but also an important scientific and social tool that serves as geological information for economic and social development.Collectively,geobiology is of great significance to the innovation of geological survey work in the new period.
