作为“诗人中的诗人”,约翰·阿胥伯莱以其卓异的实验性创作实现了对现代主义以来非个人化客体诗学的突破,力求以全息和即时性的方式捕捉、描述当代社会现实与心灵现实的新形态。他在智性的自动化、散漫风格的确立以及超现实混合体的塑成三个方面,大量运用即兴手法,呈现了后现代语境下经验与沉思、个人与现实的悖论性关系。阿胥伯莱使即兴从一种手法升格为文体风格艺术,这既是对美国诗歌沉思传统的继承和超越,也是对一种超智性的新诗学、即时性的过程叙事和更为完整、逼真的新超现实的有益探索。
As “the poet of poets”, John Ashbery has achieved a breakthrough in the impersonal object poetics since modernism with his outstanding experimental works, striving to capture and describe the new form of contemporary social reality and spiritual reality in a holographic and instantaneous way. In the aspects of automation of intellect, the establishment of the dispersive style and the shaping of the surreal mixture, Ashbery employs numerous improvisational techniques to present the paradoxical relationship between experience and contemplation and between the individual and reality in the postmodern context. He elevates improvisation from a technique to a stylistic art, which is not only the inheritance and the transcendence of the contemplative tradition of American poetry but also an exploration of the new poetics of sur-intellect, an instantaneous process narrative and a complete and authentic new surrealism.
