Can Green Credit Policy Improve Carbon Emission Efficiency?——An inquiry from the perspective of technology progress and factor structure

摘要 绿色信贷政策是实现碳中和与经济高质量发展的重要手段。基于绿色信贷政策背景,通过SBM超效率模型测算2008—2018年我国各省市碳排放效率,并构建技术进步与要素结构的中介效应模型,实证检验绿色信贷对碳排放效率的影响机理。结果表明:绿色信贷政策的实施促进了绿色技术水平的提升与要素结构的优化,并以此对碳排放效率产生显著的正向影响。异质性分析发现,在经济水平愈发达、金融深化程度越高、研发投入越强的地区,这一现象愈发显著。 Green credit policy is an important means to achieve the carbon neutrality and high-quality economic development.Based on the background of green credit policy,the carbon emission efficiency of provinces in China from 2008 to 2018 is calculated via SBM super efficiency model,and the intermediary effect model of technological progress and factor structure is constructed to empirically test the impact caused by mechanism of green credit on carbon emission efficiency.The results show that the implementation of green credit policy promotes the improvement of green technology level and the optimization of factor structure,and this exerts a significant positive impact on carbon emission efficiency.Heterogeneity analysis finds that this phenomenon is much more significant in the region where the economy is more prosperous,the financial development level is much higher and the R&D investment more sufficient.
