明代琉球中介贸易对东亚经贸活动的正常进行发挥了积极作用,其主要表现为琉球中介贸易的开展客观上使中日贸易得以延续,中国与东南亚国家的贸易得以继续,朝鲜与中国、日本、东南亚国家的贸易得以维系。日本与东南亚国家的贸易得以发展,抵消了明朝海禁时期中国海外贸易衰落所导致的以中国海商为媒介的东亚经贸活动受阻所产生的负面影响。明朝时期的琉球中介贸易在一定程度上取代了中国海商在东亚经贸活动中的地位,作为一股新兴的海上贸易力量促使了东亚经贸活动的繁荣。

The intermediary trade of Ryukyu in Ming Dynasty played a positive role in the normal progress of economic and trade activities in East Asia.The main manifestation is that the development of Ryukyu’s intermediary trade objectively results in the continuation of Sino-Japanese trade,the continuation of China’s trade with Southeast Asian countries,the maintenance of North Korea’s trade with China,Japan,and Southeast Asian countries,and the development of Japan’s trade with Southeast Asian countries.This explains the negative impact of the decline of China’s overseas trade in Ming Dynasty’s maritime prohibition period,which resulted in the obstruction of East Asian economic and trade activities with Chinese maritime merchants as the media.The Ryukyu’s intermediary trade in Ming Dynasty replaced the position of Chinese maritime merchants in East Asian economic and trade activities to a certain extent.As an emerging maritime trade force,it promoted the prosperity of East Asian economic and trade activities.
