侯孝贤导演作为中国台湾电影的领军人物,在国内外电影界享有很高的声誉。在投入电影事业的20多年里,他独立导演了16部影片。其电影风格在台湾电影界独树一帜,赢得广泛认可。侯孝贤善于使用长镜头与大全景来拍摄,善于营造朴素、平淡而又富有张力的意境,他把死生契阔拍得淡泊如水,可谓“发纤浓于简古,寄至味于淡泊”。侯孝贤常常将电影故事的背景设置在自己的家乡。在作品中,他反映台湾人民的生活、展示台湾风情、讲述台湾历史,给观众很多教益。

Director Hou Hsiao-hsien,as a leading figure in China(Taiwan)film industry,enjoys a high reputation both at home and abroad.During his 20 years in the film industry,Hou directed 16 films independently.His unique film style and artistic conception are unique in Taiwan film industry and have won worldwide reputation.Hou Hsiao-hsien panoramic view to make good use of long and big,put the irrevocable title deed broadly indifferent fetched water,he is good at will set in his own country,generally reflect the people of Taiwan,the amorous feelings of Taiwan,and Taiwan history,so as to build a plain and dull,and full of tension of artistic conception.
