High myopia is a common eye disease that causes visual impairment worldwide, and the incidence is on the rise. And macular choroidal neovascularization(CNV)is one of the complications of high myopia and the main cause of blindness in the patients, which can significantly reduce the quality of life of the patients.Transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β),as an important factor regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, movement and apoptosis, regulates retinal/chorioneovascularization through signaling pathway, concentration gradient, endothelial mesenchymal transformation, receptor CD105 expression and other pathways, and plays a role of scleral remodeling in high myopia, thus promotes the development of myopia by promoting or inhibiting the expression of other factors.TGF-βis closely related to CNV in high myopia, and is expected to become a new target for the treatment of high myopia and CNV lesions.
