英语词法和句法接口研究

Interface between English Morphology and Syntax

在现代语言学思想影响下,经典英语语法专著开始关注英语每个层次的构件和层次间的阶梯性,但忽视了各层次内部和各层次之间的内在联系,因此形成了庞杂的语言体系。现代句法学范畴概念具体表现为词类与词范畴、词组与XP、句子与转化生成等三个方面。研究主要结论为词的范畴提阶至词组范畴,句子范畴降阶至词组范畴,从而实现了英语词法与句法的接口,词组范畴成为英语语言体系构建的核心。英语词法和句法接口研究可以帮助探寻构筑语言体系的至简途径,从而打破传统的英语语法教学模式,提高语法学习效率和功率。

Influenced by modern linguistics,classic works of English grammar begin to notice the composition of levels of the English language and the hierarchy of the levels,but fail to pay attention to the links within each level and those between levels.Hence a complex system language is formed.The concept of category in modern syntax is embodied in three aspects:part of speech and word category,phrase and XP,sentence and TG.This study upgrades the level of word category to that of the phrase category,and degrades the level of the sentence category that of the phrase category,so as to realize the interface between English morphology and syntax,making the phrase category the core of the construction of the language system.The study on the interface between English morphology and syntax can help to explore the simplest way to construct the language system,so as to break the traditional English grammar teaching mode and improve the efficiency grammar learning.
