摘要
通过半人工孵化繁育帽带企鹅(Pygoscelis antarctica)的结果显示:帽带企鹅卵重(96.0±10.3)g,卵长径为(69.63±3.60)mm,短径为(49.98±1.80)mm。孵化器内温度和湿度分别约为35.8℃和60%,每日翻卵12次,每次30 min;每日晾卵2次,每次15 min。孵化33~34 d后破壳,破壳时间24~48 h。育雏箱温度和湿度分别约为35.0℃和55%,幼雏重70~80 g。幼雏饲养40~45 d,体重达到2 kg,可独立生活。幼雏60~70 d后,可练习下水游泳。经过约90 d的饲养,成功繁育出2只帽带企鹅。采用半人工孵化有利于提高帽带企鹅的孵化率与成活率,对帽带企鹅种群的快速扩增有重要意义。
Two chinstrap penguins(Pygoscelis antarctica)were successfully breed through semi-incubation.The results showed that on average,eggs weighted(96.0±10.3)g.Mean egg length was(69.63±3.60)mm and width was(49.98±1.80)mm.Incubation temperature and humidity were held constant at 35.8℃and 60%,respectively.We turned eggs 12 times a day and 30 minutes each time.The eggs were put in the air twice a day for 15 minutes.The average incubation period was 33-34 days and the shelling time was about 24-48 h.The temperature and humidity of the brooding box were about 35.0℃and 55%,respectively.Hatching weights ranged from 70 to 80 g.At 40-45 days average body weights of the young chicks were 2 kg and the penguins could live independently.The young penguins tried swimming at 60 to 70 days.After about 90 days of rearing,two chinstrap penguins were successfully breed.Semi-artifical incubation and hand rearing helped to improve the hatching rate and the survival rate,both are important for the rapid restoration of chinstrap penguin populations.
