古典教育与中华文脉

Education of Classics and Traditional Chinese Civilization

摘要 古典教育在当代中国,并不局限在知识层面上的传承与研究。北京大学古典语文学项目现有三个方向,中国古典学、西方古典学和亚非古典学,旨在建设未来的中国文化。中国古典学在研究领域上有别于“国学”,但两者都有传承和重建中华文明核心价值观的诉求。古典学借助语文学、考古学和艺术史研究古典文明,关注对古典作品的解释。在过去两百多年里,西方国家把古典学的学术方法融入东方学,建构了“世界史”的西方话语权。中国的古典学则要建立多元平等的世界文明体系,以重构中华文明经典系统来传承中华文脉。 Classical education in contemporary China is not limited to inheritance to and research of objective knowledge.The classical philology program at Peking University has three branches,namely,Chinese classics,Western classics and Near Eastern(west Asia&north Africa)classics,which aims to build the future of Chinese culture.Chinese classics is quite different from the studies of the ancient Chinese civilization(guo xue),but both have the same demands of inheriting and reconstructing the core values of Chinese civilization.Classics studies ancient history of civilization with the help of philology,archaeology and art history,and focuses on the interpretation of classical works.Over the past two hundred years,western countries have integrated the academic methods of classics into their Orientalism and constructed the western discourse power of“world history.”Chinese classics tries to establish a pluralistic and equal system of world civilizations,and to inherit the Chinese tradition of civilization in the way of reconstructing the system of Chinese ancient sacred books that presented Chinese civilization.
