虚拟数字人的进化历程及成长困境——以“双重宇宙”为场域的分析

The Evolutionary History and Growth Dilemma of Virtual Digital Human:An Analysis of the Dual Universe Fields

作为“人造物”,虚拟数字人在元宇宙中快速涌现是人的数字化及数字人进化的结果,其数字化成长既受元宇宙又受自然宇宙的影响。在元宇宙中,虚拟数字人成长要面临三重技术难题:元宇宙自身成长和治理的复杂性;元宇宙和虚拟数字人共同构建的复杂性;元宇宙算法控制的复杂性。从自然宇宙来看,虚拟数字人的数字化成长还面临角色设定、人性和功利等因素带来的社会难题。来自“双重宇宙”的难题都会影响它们的健康成长,相比之下,由人性引发的社会难题是根本难题。随着虚拟数字人逐步替代自然人承担社会角色、发挥社会功能,它们所带来的社会问题也越来越多。因此,虚拟数字人的“社会命数”具有不确定性,这就要求理论界对虚拟数字人的发展给予思想指引,实践界要加强对开发者和使用者的规范和监管。

In the metaverse,the rapid growth of virtual digital human,as artefacts,is the result of human digitization and digital human evolution,which are influenced by both the metaverse and the natural universe.The growth of virtual digital human will have to face triple technical challenges:the complexity of the metaverse growth and governance,the complexity of Construct together by metaverse and them,and the complexity of algorithmic control.The growth of digital virtual humans will encounter many societal issues such as the role setting,human nature and utilitarianism and so on.Those problems limit their full development,among them,the social challenges arising from human nature are the fundamental ones.The problems they pose will also increase when they become increasingly common and take on many functions of natural human,so their social fate wil be uncertain.The theoretical circles should give ideological guidance and the practical circles should strengthen the regulation and supervision during the development of virtual digital humans.
