Professor Gao Xiyan’s Experience in the Treatment of Shoulder Arthralgia

高希言教授系全国名中医,从事临床三十余年,中医功底深厚,在针灸治疗痹症、失眠、面瘫等常见病领域积累了丰富经验。尤其在治疗肩痹病方面,他提出从在卫、在营、在经三个层次进行论治,外邪侵卫选用浅刺法为主祛邪;瘀血阻营以刺络拔罐祛瘀;经脉亏虚取温针透灸法以扶正。

Professor Gao Xiyan,a renowned physician in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),has been engaged in clinical practice for more than 30 years and has accumulated rich experience in acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of common diseases such as arthralgia,insomnia,and facial paralysis.In particular,he has proposed the treatment of shoulder arthralgia from defense aspect,nutrient aspect,and meridians.To be specific,shallow needling was mainly adopted to dispel the pathogens when pathogens invaded the defense aspect;needling collaterals and cupping were adopted to remove stasis when blood stasis blocked the nutrient aspect;warming needle moxibustion was adopted to reinforce healthy qi when the meridians were deficient.
