Narrate the Harmony: The Contextual Narrative Ecological Self in Willa Cather’s Prairie Trilogy

美国20世纪女作家薇拉·凯瑟《草原三部曲》讲述了三位女主人公在与自然交融中冲破父权制枷锁,借助关怀和叙事重构女性自我的成长经历。本文以生态女性主义自我构建理论为基础,通过分析“草原三部曲”中,三位女主人公如何在具体情境中,用叙事凸显和深化与他人和自然的联系,以关怀之举建立互惠关系从而成就生态自我的过程,印证了生态女性主义的情境叙事型的生态自我具有实践性,为建设和谐生态社会提供了独特女性视角下的待选方案。

Prairie Trilogy by Willa Cather,a 20th-century American writer,tells the story of the three heroines breaking through the shackles of patriarchy in the process of blending with nature and reconstructing their sense of self through care and narrative.Based on the ecofeminist self-construction theory,this paper analyzes how the three heroines in Prairie Trilogy use narratives to highlight and deepen their connection with others and nature in specific situations,and build reciprocal relationships through caring actions.Their process of achieving the ecological self thus confirms that the ecofeminist ecological self based on the situational narrative has practicality,providing an alternative for the construction of a harmonious ecological society from a unique female perspective.
