译者行为批评的修辞叙事向度——以翻译家韩斌英译作品为例

Rhetorical Inquiry to Translatorial Behavior Criticism

小说英译过程是译者实现叙事重构的过程,本质上是一种修辞性叙事行为,即出于一个特定的目的、在一个特定的语境下、给一群特定的读者重述一个特定的故事。译者凭借其多元读者身份完成动态化的解读和阐释,最终实现译者从“主导”到“共导”的角色转换。本研究基于译者行为的人本性及其动态特征,以英国翻译家韩斌英译作品为个案,探析译者如何通过修辞性叙事行为建构(修辞性译叙)实现小说英译过程中阅读和阐释的有效性及其翻译小说文学性的抵达,建立模仿式体验—主题式参照—共导式重构的三维修辞批评体系。

In essence, the translating process is viewed as the translator retelling somebody else on some occasion and for some purpose(s) that something happened within a rhetorical trans-narrative model, unfolding a multidimensional(aesthetic, affective, ethical, political) responses by reporting about characters and events, interpreting those reports, and evaluating them, aiming to seek a common ground with the western audience in a dialogical and cooperative manner. Based on the showcase of translated fictions from Nicky Harman, the study drives the rhetorical turn of translatorial behavior criticism by constructing a three-dimensional system in terms of Mimic Experience, Thematic Reference and Conductive Reconstruction for validating the reading and interpreting effects of Chinese fictions and transiting the literariness in the translated fiction.
