Research on the Practice Path of Casting a Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation in Ethnic Areas

民族团结模范自治区内蒙古的成功经验表明,民族地区铸牢中华民族共同体意识有五条实践路径:构建稳定统一的治边理念是坚实保障,夯实共生互补的经济基础是内生动力,打造牢固互嵌的地缘环境是客观需求,整合多元一体的文化格局是核心内容,建设和谐融洽的民族关系是根本途径。民族地区铸牢中华民族共同体意识的实践路径应根据不同区域、不同民族的条件和特点而有所不同,在多样中求统一,在差异中求和谐。

Based on the successful experience of Inner Mongolia, a model autonomous region of ethnic unity, five practical paths are proposed for the ethnic areas to consolidate the sense of community for the Chinese nation. Firstly, the concept of building a stable and unified border governance is the solid guarantee. Secondly, consolidating the economic foundation of symbiosis and complementarity is the endogenous driving force. Thirdly, creating a solid inter-embedded geographical environment is the objective demand. Fourthly, the integration of the cultural pattern of diversity is the core content. Finally, the building of harmonious ethnic relations is the fundamental path. The practice path of building a sense of community for the Chinese nation in ethnic regions should be pluralistic according to the conditions and characteristics of different regions and different ethnic groups. It’s important to seek unity in diversity and harmony in differences.
