口译停顿研究评述:现状与展望

A Review of Studies on Pauses in Interpreting

停顿作为口译话语中普遍存在的非流利特征,是探究口译认知过程的一扇窗口,其学术价值得到了诸多口译研究学者的认可。本文评述了国内外口译停顿研究的主要议题和研究方法。议题主要围绕两个角度:(1)口译停顿内在属性特征;(2)口译停顿特征与外在变量的关系。方法以实证研究为主,语料采集来源包括实验法和语料库,语料分析多采用量性与质性结合的方法。在此基础上,作者从多个角度总结了现有研究存在的不足,并对未来的研究方向进行了展望。

This paper gives a brief review of interpreting pause studies centering on the research topic and methodology. These studies mainly focus on the intrinsic attribute features of interpreting pauses and their relations with some external variables. With empirical study as the dominant approach,most studies analyze the data from experiments or corpus both qualitatively and quantitatively. The author also summarizes the limits of existing studies and proposes the future researchtrend.
