Discovering the Oral History of Tujia Medicine,Guarding the Cultural Roots of Ethnomedicine:An Interview with Professor Tian Huayong

民族医药是我国各民族的智慧结晶。田华咏自1978年以来,一直致力于民族医药的发掘与研究工作,成绩斐然,为民族医药尤其是土家医药的传承、发展作出了重要贡献。文章以口述访谈形式记录了田华咏结缘民族医药、发掘土家医药、潜心研究四十载的经历、学术成果和采辑土家医药口述史料的经验,旨在帮助更多读者了解老一辈民族医药研究专家的事迹,引起图书馆学界对民族医药口述历史的关注。

Ethnomedicine is the crystallization of the wisdom of the ethnic minorities in China.Since 1978,Tian Huayong has been committed to the exploration and research of ethnomedicine,and has made great achievements especially in the inheritance and development of Tujia medicine.Through oral interview,this paper records Tian Huayong's experience of first knowing ethnomedicine,excavation of Tujia medicine,and forty-year research,the academic achievements and the experience of collecting oral historical materials of Tujia medicine,aiming to help readers know more about the deeds of ethnomedical experts of older generation,and to arouse the attention of libraries to the oral history of ethnomedicine.
