In the mechanical water meter,the indicating device is an important part for recording water consumption.The character wheel and tooth wheel in the indicating device are responsible for displaying water consumption which is belong to an incomplete gear mechanism.Based on the theoretical analysis and actual situation,this paper elaborates the dimensionrelation between character wheel and tooth wheel in detail,and discusses their size design,in order to provide theoretical guidance and basis for the new design of the word wheel and the tooth wheel transmission mechanism.
