茶枝瘿蚊是南方茶区茶树枝干害虫之一,以幼虫于枝干皮层下取食为害,形成溃烂虫斑或造成枝干粗糙开裂,茶树枝干枯死,影响茶树长势。文章对其为害症状、形态特征、生活习性和防控方法进行了介绍,提供了各虫态的形态图片,以期为该害虫的识别与科学防控提供参考。

Tea shoot gall midge is one of the tea branch pests in southern China tea area.The larvae often ingest the cell sap under the branch cortex,forming dry cracks or rotten insect spots in tea plants.Tea shoot gall midge often causes the death of tea branches,and tea plant growth is seriously affected by its infestation.The objective of this paper is to introduce the damaging symptom,morphological characteristics,living habits and control methods of tea shoot gall midge.Moreover,the color pictures of larvae,and adults and eggs necessary for the recognition and management of this tea pest were also provided in this paper.
