西医东渐与近代宁波护理教育的发展

Eastward Spread of Western Medicine and Development of Nursing Education in Modern Ningbo

清代晚期,为开拓传教事业,西方传教士率先将先进的西方医学传入中国。作为西医的一个分支,护理学由此进入中国。宁波华美高级护士学校依托宁波教会医院——华美医院而成立,为宁波历史上第一所从事护理教育的学校,是宁波西医护理教育之肇始。通过对该校相关档案的梳理,再现该校招生、课程设置、教学方法等方面的历史史实,总结其精英教育理念、重视实践、注重人文修养等特点,为当代护理教育提供有益借鉴。

In the late Qing Dynasty,Western missionaries took the lead in introducing advanced western medicine into China in order to develop missionary undertakings.As a branch of western medicine,nursing entered China.Ningbo Huamei Senior Nursing School was established on the basis of Ningbo Missionary Hospital-Huamei Hospital.It was the first school in Ningbo’s history to engage in nursing education,and it was the beginning of Ningbo’s western medical nursing education.Through combing the relevant archives of the school,it reproduces the historical facts of the school’s enrollment,curriculum,teaching methods,etc.,and summarizes its characteristics of elite education concept,emphasis on practice,and emphasis on humanistic accomplishment,so as to provide useful reference for contemporary nursing education.
