As the highest dam in the world, the design parameters and project scale of Jinping Ⅰ hydropower dam are far beyond existing standards. Under complex environmental conditions, the dam operation safety risk is high and the management is difficult. By identification and analysis of the operation safety risk of Jinping Ⅰ hydropower dam, Yalong River Company organized and carried out the research on key technologies of risk control, established the dam operation safety risk management system, and effectively realized the control of dam operation safety risk.
