作为商务印书馆在儿童教育领域具有开创性的民国知名课外读物,《儿童画报》畅销全国近20年,影响了几代儿童的成长。刊物立身于乱世,以现代儿童的启蒙为旨归,衣着服饰、玩具游戏既有“摩登世界”的斑驳色彩,也有“传统蒙学”的文化基因,国难危亡之际又向儿童发出担当“民族小战士”的动员令。本文首次剖析了特殊语境下《儿童画报》各种矛盾耦合的语图叙事及当时各种儿童观在儿童塑造方面的冲突与妥协,并借之初步探索了媒介与观念的内在关联。
