移动性理论视域下的美国华裔文学研究

Examining Chinese American Literature from the Perspective of Mobilities Theory

21世纪,社会学和人文地理学等领域出现了“移动性转向”和“新移动性范式”,迅速引发了文学和文化研究领域的广泛关注。在移动性理论视域下,美国华裔文学研究关注种族、性别和阶级交叉下的华裔移动性,分析其特殊性、复杂性和含混性,探讨华裔移动性与移民经验、心理状态和身份建构的互动,由此反思和挑战美国移动性神话。移动性理论视域下的美国华裔文学研究不仅是一次跨学科尝试,也反过来丰富移动性理论,促进移动性研究的理论对话和跨学科发展。

A “mobility turn”, or “new mobilities paradigm”, has emerged within the fields of sociology and cultural geography in the 21st century, which has also significantly attracted the interest of cultural and literary studies. Under the new paradigm, Chinese American literary studies examines the particularity, complexity and ambiguity of Chinese American mobility at the intersection of race, gender and class. The new paradigm allows Chinese American mobility studies to explore interactions between immigration experiences, psychological status and ethnic identity, thus problematizing and challenging American mobility as a myth. Examining Chinese American literature from the perspective of mobilities theory is an interdisciplinary attempt, which can in turn enrich mobilities theory and further develop its theoretical dialogue and interdisciplinary relevance.
