The Main Content and Major Path of “City of Museums” Construction

当代中国语境下的“博物馆之城”是改革开放以来特别是进入21世纪以来提出的一种城市建设新理念。建设一座真正的“博物馆之城”,不仅要在城市中建设数量足够多的博物馆,更要把博物馆机构、博物馆功能、博物馆文化融入城市文化生态系统的各个层面,以潜移默化的形式进入市民的生活和精神世界。建设博物馆之城是一项系统工程,要顺应城市工作新形势、改革发展新要求、人民群众新期待,坚持统筹总揽、规划先行、协同创新、社会共享的路径与模式,在统筹上下功夫,在规划上做文章,在协同上求突破,在共享上促发展。

The“City of Museums”is a new idea of urban construction proposed since the Reform and Opening policy particularly in the new century.To build a“city of museums”,it is not enough to establish a sufficient number of museums in the city.More important is to embed the institution,functions,and culture of the museum into all levels of the cultural ecosystem of the city,and to let the museum enter the life and spiritual world of people living in the city.Constructing a city of museums is a systematic project,which should respond to the new situation of urban work,the new requirements of reform and development,and the new expectations of the people.It should adhere to the path and mode of integrated planning,planning first,collaborative innovation,and social sharing.
