Evaluation on the effect of the Internet of Things-based intelligent monitoring on rodent infestation in agricultural areas of western Inner Mongolia

摘要 2019年8月至2021年12月,于内蒙古磴口县国家级农区鼠情监测点应用鼠害监测智能物联网终端VIMS4.0系统对内蒙古西部农区害鼠发生动态进行探求。结果表明,在4套智能终端合计1 233 d的有效监测时间内,监测到子午沙鼠、小毛足鼠、小家鼠等主要害鼠共69只,鼠密度为5.60%;害鼠总密度存在季节性变化,在2021年5月和10月各出现1个高峰;优势鼠种子午沙鼠为20:00至次日4:00活动的夜行鼠,于5月和8月各出现1个鼠密度高峰。此外,本研究首次提出智能物联网鼠害监测的待机时间概念。智能物联网监测系统可基本实现在极少人为干扰状态下的连续高效监测,为鼠情的科学监测、危害评价、风险分析和有效防控提供了新手段。 Taking Dengkou as a representative of the agricultural areas of western Inner Mongolia, we explored the activity patterns of the rodents in this area by applying the Internet of Things(IoT)-based intelligent monitoring system(VIMS4.0)from August 2019 to December 2021. The results showed that during the effective monitoring hours of 1233 days by four sets of the terminals, a total of 69 individuals of main rodent species, including Meriones meridianus, Phodopus roborovskii, and Mus musculus, were detected, and the density of the rodent was 5.60%. The rodent density showed seasonal fluctuations with peaks in May and October 2021. The dominant species, M. meridianus, was a nocturnal rodent active from 20:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., and its density peaked in May and August 2021. Moreover, we proposed the concept of standby time for the IoT-based intelligent rodent monitoring system. This system can generally achieve 24 hours of consecutive and efficient monitoring with low-level human disturbance, which provides a new means for scientific monitoring, hazard evaluation, risk analysis, and effective prevention and control of rodent infestation.
