Flood protection embankment is very important for safe operation of powerhouse.The design of the flood protection embankment must ensure that the flood control and protection function can be exerted during the construction period of the project and the operation period of the power station.This paper describes the calculation scheme and calculation results of the flood protection embankment in the plant area of Gabon Bubaha Hydropower Station,and summarizes the design experience of the flood protection embankment under the corresponding conditions.The operation practice of the power plant shows that the design of the flood protection embankment in the plant area is scientific and effective during the construction period of the project.
