Overview of Data Center Energy Consumption Modeling and Demand Response

摘要 数据中心的能耗模型对于其内部设施的优化设计和能耗的控制管理至关重要。文章阐述了数据中心能耗建模和能量调节情况的最新进展,对数据中心设计、规划和运营等有重要意义,同时为电网规划中考虑数据中心电力需求提供依据。系统地对数据中心主要负荷部分的能耗模型进行了回顾和分类,并根据计算公式和其他因素,将现有能耗模型分为加性模型、基线负载模型、回归模型和其他模型,比较了各种模型在不同应用场景的优缺点。进一步对数据中心能量调节的可行性和工作方式进行了总结,将其能量调节的方式分为3类,为电网规划中考虑数据中心负荷和电网运行中与负荷的互动提供参考依据。 The energy consumption model of data center is very important for the optimal design of its internal facilities and the control and management of energy consumption.This paper describes the latest progress of data center energy consumption modeling and energy regulation,which is of great significance for data center design,planning and operation.At the same time,it provides a basis for considering the power demand of data center in power grid planning.The energy consumption models of the main load part of the data center are systematically reviewed and classified.According to the calculation formula and other factors,the existing energy consumption models are divided into additive model,baseline load model,regression model and other models.The advantages and disadvantages of various models in different application scenarios are compared.Further,the feasibility and working mode of data center energy regulation are summarized,and its energy regulation modes are divided into three categories,which provides a reference basis for considering data center load in power grid planning and interaction with load in power grid operation.
