Taking the elimination of a hot work dangerous case in a petrochemical plant in Saudi Arabia as an example,the potential safety hazards and safety management vulnerabilities in operating plant are analyzed from the aspects of equipment,personnel,management and objective factors.In order to avoid safety accidents and reduce safety risks,feasible suggestions are put forward from the aspects of strengthening safety awareness,improving safety sys⁃tem and reinforcing safety management.
