In order to understand the situation of smart transportation planning and construction in the context of the era of big data,this paper studies the big data and its characteristics of the era,and explores the necessity of promoting the planning and construction of smart transportation and investigates the countermeasures of intelligent transportation planning and construction in the era of big data.It is concluded that in the era of big data,promoting intelligent transportation planning and construction is not only the need to improve the efficiency and accuracy of transportation planning,but also the need to build a refined urban management system and improve the level of intelligent transportation planning.
