Model and Diversity——On Wei Wei’s Exploration and Promotion of the Canonization of Chinese Children’s Poems

中国儿童诗在经历过20世纪50年代及80年代的两次繁荣后逐渐走向衰落,究其原因,是我国童诗缺少理论的指引、经典的示范与多样性的追求,脱离了世界童诗潮流。年逾八旬的韦苇先生以广阔的国际视野、深厚的学术素养、卓越的鉴赏眼光和扎实的语言功底,集童诗的理论、翻译、创作于一体,努力探索童诗的典范与多样性特征,推进了中国童诗的现代化与经典化进程。

Chinese children’s poems have gradually declined after experiencing two booms in the 1950s and 1980s. The reason is that Chinese children’s poems lacks theoretical guidance, classic demonstration and diversity pursuit,and breaks away from the world trend of children’s poetry. Mr. Wei Wei,who is over eighty years old, has a broad international vision, deep academic quality, excellent appreciation and solid language skills, and integrates the theory, translation and creation of children’s poetry into one, and strives to explore the model and diversity of children’s poetry, thus promoting the modernization and canonization of Chinese children’s poetry.
