帝汶岛史前考古研究概述

Overview of Prehistoric Archaeological Research on Timor Island

帝汶岛位于澳大利亚北部,是巽他群岛最东端的岛屿之一。目前国内外对于帝汶岛史前考古史的梳理较少,结合帝汶岛政治势力的进退和考古学家的研究可将其划分为四个阶段,时间跨度从阿尔弗雷德·布勒的早期工作一直延续到最近的考古研究。虽然只选取了帝汶岛这样一个小的地理单元,但是由此可管窥整个东南亚史前考古的情况,对帝汶岛史前考古学史的概述不仅可以给相关学者在帝汶岛下一步的史前考古工作提供借鉴,而且对于东南亚地区史前考古的全面布局具有重要意义。

Timor Island is located in northern Australia and is one of the easternmost islands in the Sunda Islands.At present,the prehistoric archaeological history of Timor Island is rarely combed at home and abroad.Generally it can be divided into four stages based on the advancement and retreat of Timor’s political forces and the research of archaeologists,from Alfred Buhler’s early work to recent archaeological research.Although only a small geographic unit such as Timor Island is concerned in this paper,it can give a glimpse of the history of prehistoric archaeology in Southeast Asia.So this overview of the history of prehistoric archaeology on Timor Island can not only provide some suggestions about the future’s archaeological research on Timor Island but also facilitate future organization and plan of prehistoric archaeological research in Southeast Asia.
