Digital identity provides identification for the Internet of Everything by providing and verifying identity information,and becomes the basic link that drives the connection of all things.Most of the existing digital identity systems have shortcomings such as cumbersome operation,easy information leakage,and low fault tolerance.Digital identity applications developed based on the characteristics of blockchain technology,such as decentralization,non-tampering,traceability,and multi-party trusted collaboration mechanism,can ensure the credibility and security of identities,which is an important direction for the development of digital identities in the future.The application status of digital identities was reported,the internal mechanism of blockchain technology empowering digital identities was explained,and the prospects and suggestions for the application prospects of digital identities based on blockchain were given.
