With the rapid development of national economy,the demand of coal mining is also increasing year by year.The concept and mining characteristics of thin coal seam are introduced,the characteristics and mining methods of thin coal seam mining process in China are analyzed,and the current situation,development trend and optimization measures of thin coal seam mining technology are studied,which can hopefully promote the development of China's coal mining industry.
