Combining informational function and symbolic function,linguistic landscape is also an important carrier to hand down and develop Chinese excellent traditional culture.In recent years,based on the consideration of highlighting the characteristics of famous historical and cultural city,Qingdao has made great efforts to integrate excellent traditional Chinese cultural elements into the construction of language landscape,which has improved the city’s image and identity.In order to develop the values of linguistic landscape on upgrading humanistic connotation and enriching beautiful life for the masses,it is necessary to deeply advance the integration between linguistic landscape and other subjects such as linguistics,semiotics,landscape science and geography etc.Meanwhile,it is important to strengthen innovation,widen channels and increase effective supply in the following areas such as transportation,tourism and education.
