文本复现与历史反思——陈映真与黄锦树同名小说《山路》对比谈

Textual Recurrence and Historical Reflections: A Comparative Talk on Chen Ying-zhen and Ng Kim Chew, with Their Stories of the Same Title,‘The Mountain Road’

台湾作家陈映真和旅台马华作家黄锦树都分别以《山路》为题进行过创作,两部作品创作的时间虽相隔三十余年,但同是对社会的“发言”,且在文学意象、人物形象设置等方面均有相似之处,由此可以看出黄锦树在题材内容和艺术技巧上对陈映真作品的吸收与借鉴,但它绝不是一次简单的模仿或复制的结果。本文将从对陈、黄二人《山路》中的文本意象、人物形象等方面的对比,发现两部作品的不同之处,深入探究黄锦树另写《山路》的用意所在。

Chen Ying-zhen, a Taiwan Residents writer, and Ng Kim Chew, a Chinese Malaysian writer, separately wrote a story each, both titled,‘The Mountain Road.’Although the creation of the stories had a gap of thirty-odd years between them, both was a speech on the societies, and had something in common in terms of literary images and the setting of character images,too, from which one can see how Ng Kim Chew absorbed, and borrowed from, Chen Ying-zhen’s work in relation to the subject matter, contents, and artistic skills although it wasn’t the result of a simple emulation or reproduction. This article will be an in-depth exploration of what Ng Kim Chew had meant by writing another‘The Mountain Road’in comparing the differences between the two stories in relation to the textual images and character images.
