In various researches such as investigation and medicine,the correlation of ordinal variables is involved,and it is particularly important to use the calculation method of the correlation coefficient reasonably to draw the correct conclusion.This paper introduces the calculation formula of the correlation coefficient of ordinal variables,and uses R software to write functions to calculate the correlation coefficient,its confidence interval,and p value.Finally,through the application of the correlation of ordinal variables in teaching research,medical research,and market research,this paper explains the differences between the correlation coefficients and the scope of application.
