In the development history of construction machinery service of well-tempered environment,Reyner Banham takes the perspective of technology optimism and futurism,has an insight into the architectural technology application and environmental design practice,and summarizes the typological new architectural paradigm in a series of works,which takes the structure and mechanical service as types,the regenerative,selective and conservative as environmental models,and the exposed energy and concealed energy as strategies.Thus he integrates into the well-tempered environment theory.Through analyzing source and development of the theory,the research propose that energy is the unique perspective of understanding the theory,and is also the key to understanding the relationship among people,architecture and environment,so as to find out the influence and value of well-tempered environment theory on the contemporary architectural design of technology and art,machinery and nature.
