大学优绩主义的审思及超越

The Reflection of University Meritocracy and Its Transcendence

大学优绩主义通过数据崇拜、竞争主义和输赢游戏构筑优绩至上理想,改变了大学运作的方式和大学人对自我的筹划逻辑。优绩主义掩盖了大学及大学人自我发展中的伦理隐忧,忽视了大学对人性尊严和美好生活的贡献,已成为一种独特的精神政治学,使“责任原则”、“成功原则”、“积极生活”、“自我实现”发展为一种隐藏的自我暴力,带来了个体生存的过度化和同质化,使发展变成傲慢、焦虑、屈辱和怨恨的交织。超越优绩主义,大学需坚持本体性价值的优先性,强调公共生活和公共价值的重要性,回归工作和成功的本真意义,为多元能力发展提供条件,并寻求多种关系之间的对话,在优绩追求、社会价值和个人存在之间实现平衡。

University meritocracy builds the ideal of meritocracy through data worship,competitionism,and winner or loser games,which has changed how the university works and the logic of academics designing their lives.Meritocracy not only conceals ethical concerns in the self-development of universities and scholars,but also ignores the contribution of universities to human dignity and a flourishing life.University meritocracy has become a unique psychopolitics and made the“principle of responsibility”,“principle of success”,“active life”,and“self-realization”transfer into a kind of hidden self-violence.At the same time,it brings about excess and homogenization of individual existence,and turns development into interweaving of arrogance,anxiety,humiliation and resentment.Thus universities need to prioritize the ontological value,emphasize the importance of public life and public value,return to the true meaning of work and success,in order to transcend meritocracy as well as provide conditions for the development of multiple capabilities.This means universities must seek dialogue between multiple relationships and balance merit pursuit,social values,and personal existence.
