The Arabian decorative patterning art is an important part of the world artistic treasure with its unique aesthetic values.The religious belief and historical culture of the Arabs are an important theoretical source of their decorative patterning art.The three most representative categories of decorative patterns include natural figurative plants and flowers,natural abstract geometric figures,and Arabian writing.This paper makes an evaluative analysis on various representative decorative patterns by reviewing literature and summarizes their characteristics in structure and form to the end of helping artists in the domain of art design to gain an insight into their learning and reference value.
