Manchurian Tiger depicts the bewilderment of the middle class caused by the social transformation and the emotional crisis of middleaged people in a small city of Northeast China in a realistic and detached way.The interview involves Geng Jun’s long-standing work style and script writing experience,and focuses on the creation process of the film Manchurian Tiger,which shows Geng Jun’s unique aesthetic taste and creative orientation in the aspects of narrative rhythm,dialogue setting,casting and mise-en-scène.The image of nobody,abstract dialogue and low symbolic scenes in the film reflect the continuation and change of Geng Jun’s film style.Geng Jun also talked about the regional culture,the status of the film industry and the prospect of his future creation.
