翻译研究中关于变易问题的阐释路径探微

A Study on the Path of Explaining Translation Variation in Translation Studies

所谓变易,是相对于原文这一居先存在的客体而言的,主要指译者为达成评价目的而运用话语手段,在原文基础上生成具有新的价值意涵的表述,使作品在变化中获得新生。从关注变易在复现原初意义、建立对等关系方面的作用,到着眼于变易在重塑权力关系、引导价值走向方面的功效,再到聚焦变易的形式与其价值导向之间的作用原理,探究“译有所为”的策略法中隐藏的修辞性基础结构,我们关于变易问题的阐释路径愈发往纵深延展。其中以认知为基础,以修辞为核心的研究方向将使我们进一步理解翻译何以始终不变地从变易中获得自身的存在价值。

Unlike the original text that is pre-existing and objective, translation is in variation, where the translator uses means of discourse to produce expressions with new value connotations on the basis of the original text, with an aim to re-evaluate the text, bringing it new life through variation.Our path of explaining translation variation gets widened as we shift focus from the function of variation in reproducing the original meaning to the function of reshaping power relation and in guiding values, and then to the mechanism for directing values in the form of variation, or in other words, to the basic rhetorical structure hidden behind the translator’s strategy to achieve evaluation purposes.In light of this, we should follow the direction with epistemology as the basis and rhetoric as the core, which will make us further understand why and how translation invariably seeks its value of existence through variation.
