当前,十堰市正规划建设鄂西省域区域教育高地,这是十堰市建设高质量教育体系,加快“三中心三城市”建设,提升十堰市城市品位和功能的重要举措,也是促进新时代十堰市高质量发展的有力支撑。汉江师范学院作为鄂西地区唯一的师范院校,教师教育特色鲜明、优势明显,支持汉江师范学院实施打造鄂西教师教育高峰的“三大工程”,充分发挥师范院校在服务地方基础教育、职业教育等方面的引领功能和辐射效应,是十堰市建设鄂西区域教育高地的重要措施和重点抓手。
