Vascular aging and its interventions

随着老年医学研究的发展,人与血管共老得到越来越多研究结果的证实。血管衰老是引起人体各器官系统衰老的重要病理、生理基础,是老年人罹患多种慢病的共同发病机制。为此,早期发现并延缓血管衰老,对防控老年人慢病,应对日益严峻的人口老龄化问题具有重要意义。

With the development of Geriatrics,increasing evidence confirmed that“a man is as old as his arteries”.Vascular aging is a process that affects all physiological systems,as well as pathophysiological process involved in development.Vascular aging is a common mechanism of morbidity and mortality in older adults.Thus,it is necessary to develop clinical strategies for delaying vascular aging dealing with the increasing prevalence of chronic disease among an aging population.
