With the increasing popularity of outpatient plastic surgery,the management of sedation and analgesia has received more and more attention.Nowadays,outpatient plastic surgery mainly advocates opioid-free anesthesia,and it has become a trend to actively seek alternatives to opioids.This article reviews the perioperative and postoperative sedation and analgesia management schemes for several major outpatient plastic surgery procedures.The combination of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,local anesthesia,and regional nerve blocks may be the development direction in the future.
