This paper introduces the harmful chemical components of different types of plastics in life,commonly used disposal methods,and the impact of these components on the environment and public health.Plastic products that are used for a long time or exposed to high temperatures can cause toxic chemicals to leach into food,beverages and water.Indiscriminate handling of plastics on land and open burning can result in the release of toxic chemicals into the air,posing a public health hazard,concludes with recommendations for global plastic reduction and control of plastic waste.
